League City Investigation Leads to Arrest of Seven in Statewide Organized Retail Theft Ring
League City, TX (June 2, 2026) - In July 2025, the League City Police Department Business District Unit (BDU) took a report of a theft at Best Buy where a male suspect entered, and stole several cameras from the display, then ran out of the store. The suspect entered an awaiting vehicle, a Maroon Hyundai sedan, and fled the area. The following day, that vehicle was stopped by the Pasadena Police Department, and the suspect was identified as Kobre Nasean Dickerson (19yo). As the BDU coordinated with Best Buy ORC management, it was discovered that this was just one of over twenty similar offenses committed by the same crew at Best Buy locations in Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, and Austin, with a loss of over $260,000 in property.
Over the next several months, the BDU worked with Best Buy and investigators with the Texas Department of Public Safety, New Braunfels Police Department and Houston ISD Police to identify six other individuals that participated in this crime spree. They were identified as Jaron Pinson (20yo), Raynord Norman (20yo), Damarion Hawkins (20yo), Jewrell Pinson (23yo), Jacorris Parrish (19yo) and Christopher Gordon (18yo), all out of the Houston Fifth Ward area. LCPD worked with the Galveston County District Attorney’s Office and presented the case to a Grand Jury, who indicted all seven on Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity ($100,000 Bond), a first-degree felony.
In collaboration with several other Law Enforcement agencies in the area, the BDU was able to get all seven suspects taken into custody to be held accountable for their crimes.
