-Copyrighted material (if posted without the copyright holder's consent). The Department may take steps to remove a comment if it falls within one of the foregoing categories. By posting or commenting you agree to these terms of use. If Facebook user's comment is removed, the moderator will notify the user by Facebook Messenger that the comment was removed and the reason for its removal. You participate at your own risk, and recognize that by posting on this page, you are personally responsible for the comments and any information provided. The League City Fire Marshal’s Office would like to remind everyone of the revised ordinance of when fireworks may be legally discharged within League City.

The ordinance was previously revised in 2024 to allow fireworks on July 4th from sunset to 1am July 5th and New Years Eve, January 31st from sunset to 1am January 1st. Please refer to this flyer, which provides details on what is permitted and what is prohibited with the revised ordinance.

Update at 6:30 p.m. - Roadway open.

-End Update-

League City Police Department Officers and League City Fire Department personnel are on scene of a major collision on W League City Parkway near Landing Blvd. Traffic driving west is being diverted onto Landing Blvd.

The Crash Team is enroute to conduct their investigation. Please avoid the area and expect delays. An update will follow once the roadway opens.

HONORING EMS WEEK 🚑

Mayor Nick Long joined our EMS Department to officially proclaim May 18–24 as EMS Week in League City.

Whether responding to medical emergencies, providing lifesaving care, or supporting the community during critical situations, EMS personnel play an essential role in keeping residents safe every day. Their professionalism, compassion, and quick response make a difference when it matters most.

Thank you to all of our EMS personnel for your dedication and service to the League City community!
