Here's our latest forecast update on Harvey for tonight. A lot of uncertainty over where in the area the heaviest rains setup. We have models spread from Beaumont to Katy. Hopefully more clarity later. Prepare for the worst, but hope for the best.

We have reports of multiple high water areas across the city and multiple street closures due to more than 15 inches of rainfall in the past 12 hours. Our EMS crews are working to answer dozens of rescue emergencies with high water vehicles at this time. We urge residents to take shelter in theirs homes and only call 911 in case of emergencies.
We have shelters available for residents once water levels recede at:

Please avoid traveling at this time and stay safe.

Well, it’s sure been a night in Houston. And as mad as it’s been, it seems we are just not done. I feel almost guilty for writing about this, as I so desperately wish to report some good news for a change. Because it sure feels like we ought to be done with the rain. At least for a little while. But we're not.
