This Saturday at 10:00 AM, join us at the Frio Canyon Parks Association for a one-of-a-kind community mural project!

Designed by the talented Adam Jennings Delagarza, the "Keepin' It Real" Community Mural will come to life with the help of our community, and we want everyone to be a part of it.

Whether you're a kid, a parent, a grandparent, a local, or just visiting, grab a paintbrush and help create something that will be enjoyed for years to come. No artistic experience is needed, just a willingness to leave your mark.

One day, you'll be able to point to this mural and say, "I helped paint that."

🎨 All ages are welcome.

And this one’s for the dogs… and the people who love them like family ❤️

Mark your calendars for Saturday, May 16th (11AM–8PM) at Clearwater Ranch & Resort because this isn’t just an event… it’s a full-on dog-loving community day 🐶🌊

This day is built for:
🐾 Dog owners
🐾 Animal lovers
🐾 Families
🐾 Anyone who believes life’s just better with a dog by your side

We’re talking:
🌊 Doggy River Time (yes… it’s as fun as it sounds)
🐕 Vendors, photos, training sessions, amd doggie bags that include a leash, toys, p**p bags, and treats

📸 Plenty of moments you’ll want to capture
And we’re kicking things off with community walks:

This is what makes our community special. People showing up for animals, for each other, and for something bigger than just a Saturday.

There’s something special about the Hill Country… and if you’re from here, have family here, or come visit, you already know exactly what we mean. 🌄💧

Clear rivers, open land, quiet mornings, and views that don’t feel touched by anything but time.
That’s why a lot of people have been talking lately about the Hill Country Preservation Coalition and the work they’re doing across Texas.

If you haven’t heard yet, there are proposed high-voltage transmission lines that could stretch for hundreds of miles across parts of the Hill Country, including areas near us. These aren’t small lines either… we’re talking massive infrastructure designed to move power across the state, with towers and wide clearings cutting through ranch land, rivers, and some of the most untouched views Texas has left.

A lot of folks already know about it… but if you don’t, it’s worth looking into. Concerns being raised include:
• Impact on our rivers and aquifers 💧
• Changes to the natural landscape and views 🌄
• Effects on wildlife and land that’s been preserved for generations 🦌
• Long-term changes to the character of the Hill Country

Groups like this coalition aren’t saying “no power”, they’re saying where it goes matters, and that there may be better routes that don’t cut through some of the most sensitive and beautiful parts of Texas.

At the end of the day, this isn’t just about one county… it’s happening all over Texas.

If you care about keeping places like Leakey, TX, the Frio, and the Hill Country the way we know and love them… it’s worth taking a few minutes to learn more and decide where you stand.

Because once something like this changes the land… it’s not something you can easily get back
