We did it, y'all.

We survived 2025-2026 school year. All 486 events tucked into the last two weeks of May.

As a sentimental message from this 8th grade mom - I hope you all realize how special Stacy K Danielson Middle School is. The teachers. The admin and staff. Every single person that makes that school the amazing spot that it is. Even after walking 15,000 steps during the Day of Play yesterday, and climbing in muddy water that will haunt my dreams for awhile, so we could clean the slide pools for 6th and 7th grade - I find myself a little sad the year is over.

I'm abusing my admin powers over here to say thank you - thank you for every time you responded to one of these posts. Thank you for coming through to make the Day of Play, school dances, teacher appreciation events, our Leander ISD PTA Clothes Closet events, and more - all big successes. We tried things that worked (Chipotle spirit night!) and things that absolutely didn't (Tiff's treats spirit night... during... girl scout cookie season... we didn't know y'all!) and you supported this tiny PTA board through it all.

Y'all are in SUCH good hands for next year. I am so excited for the sheer size and breadth of experience that the new board brings, and hope they that have inherited our love of Danielson - from their amazing fine arts program, to the best librarian around, to their amazing Bearkat athletes, and more - there is so much that makes this school special.

We have loved supporting and serving you and our Bearkat Community - and I'm sure you'll see us around sometimes and across the way at Glenn High School and down the road at Leander High School.

Our 6th and 7th graders (and staff and volunteers) pushed through the afternoon heat and played their hearts out!

Thank you to our partners at Walmart Cedar Park for their amazing donation of almost 1500 popsicles to cool off these kats!

Our PTA may look like this today but we still want to shout out our amazing board, volunteers, staff, admin, Glenn NHS student volunteers, folks who donated, and everyone who helped us make A Night in Hollywood our biggest 8th grade formal to date!

BIG thank you to Heather, Ana Daniela Hernandez, and Stephanie for their endless hours and stunning balloons and decor work!

We truly couldn’t do it without you all, and once we’re done sleeping for a week and drinking a swimming pool of coffee - we’ll be back for Stacy Kaye Day of Play! 🧡💙
