There’s something pretty special about getting a little peek into your kids’ world at school. 🏹

For Jamie, that’s one of the best parts of volunteering at Founders.

Now in her family’s fifth year at Founders, Jamie has jumped in wherever an extra set of hands could help: recess and lunch duty, classroom mom, bulletin boards, lost and found, class parties, field trips, Grandparents Breakfast, teacher luncheons, classroom setup, Field Day and even the occasional front office errand.

And she isn’t the only one who gets involved. Her husband volunteers too!

“My favorite part of volunteering is getting to know the teachers, the students, and seeing my kids during the day in ‘their world at school.’ Getting to know other families and working with other parents to make our school better is so rewarding! We’ve made so many new friendships in this community that mean so much to us.”

That little glimpse into your child’s day is one of the gifts of showing up. You get to know the people who teach them, the friends who surround them and the community that is helping shape them. And somewhere along the way, you may just find that community becoming yours, too.

There’s just something special about seeing our Founders community show up for our Archers. And we’re only getting started. 🏐🏈

Here’s to a great season ahead. Keep showing up, keep cheering loud, and keep aiming high, Archers! 🏹

Sometimes you show up to volunteer and leave with a few new friends. 🏹

For Jenny, now in her seventh year at Founders with three Archers enrolled, that has been one of the unexpected gifts of getting involved.

“Being around people who care about the same things I do: our kids, our school, and our community. An immediate friendship comes from that!”

Over the years, Jenny has been a room mom, helped with class pages, raised funds through Funds for Founders, served countless slices on Pizza Friday, and spent plenty of time decorating lockers and setting up the field as a football mom.

Different jobs. Different seasons. But always alongside people working toward something they care about together.

There is something good, true, and beautiful about serving simply because something you love is worth showing up for. And sometimes, the community you build while doing it is an unexpected gift in return.

Want to join in this year? Start with your 2026–27 Volunteer Application. Remember, it must be completed each school year before volunteering on campus.

This is what volunteering can look like. 🏹

Tsui-chin’s family joined Founders in 2020, and over the years, she has found plenty of ways to jump in and serve.

She’s been a room mom, helped in the library, joined Brown Bag Projects, decorated bulletin boards, chaperoned field trips, covered lunch and early release duty, served Pizza Friday, worked concessions and helped with Trunk or Treat, American History Night, Winter Showcase, Fall Festival, Field Day, Teacher & Staff Appreciation, Grandparents Breakfast and more.

She’s even shared her own talents with our students through Chinese New Year presentations!

For Tsui-chin, volunteering isn’t just about helping. It’s also given her the opportunity to become more connected to the people who make Founders what it is.

“I enjoy volunteering because it gives me a direct way to support our teachers and students. It also gives me opportunities to get to know other parents, teachers and staff. And it’s nice to have a peek into my child’s classes sometimes. I know I am doing something meaningful for the school community.”

That’s the beauty of getting involved. One event, one lunch duty, one field trip or one hour at a time, you’re helping our school while becoming a little more connected to the community around you.

You don’t have to do it all. Just do what you can.

Ready to get involved this year? Your first step is completing the 2026–27 Volunteer Application. A new application is required every school year before volunteering on campus, even if you’ve volunteered with us before.

This is what volunteering can look like. 🏹

For Jess Hughes, it has looked a little different in every season.

Jess is a mom of two current Archers and an Archer alum, and she has been part of the Founders community since the very first day the school opened in 2014. Over the years, she has found countless ways to lend a hand at Founders based on the time and capacity she had to give.

She’s served lunch and recess duty, worked concessions and spirit wear, chaperoned field trips, volunteered to coach, helped organize Winter Formal and Prom, served a three-year term on AABC, and somehow has four years of Pizza Fridays under her belt. 🍕🙌 She’s even found ways to lend a hand at events with a baby strapped to her chest!

But ask Jess her favorite part of volunteering and it isn’t a particular committee, event or job.

It’s simply being there.

“I love getting to see my kids, being part of their school community, and seeing how the school functions behind the scenes. After nine years of volunteering in everything from athletics to Pizza Friday and everything in between, I’ve really come to feel like this school is a part of our family.”

And THAT is what we want our Founders families to know about volunteering.

You don’t have to do everything. You don’t have to serve in the same way every year. Some seasons may allow you to lead. Others may give you enough time for one field trip, an hour helping at an event, or whatever fits your life right now.

It all matters.

School is officially underway, and there are so many ways to get involved this year. Your first step is completing the 2026–27 Volunteer Application, which is required each school year before volunteering on campus.
