This is what volunteering can look like. 🏹
Tsui-chin’s family joined Founders in 2020, and over the years, she has found plenty of ways to jump in and serve.
She’s been a room mom, helped in the library, joined Brown Bag Projects, decorated bulletin boards, chaperoned field trips, covered lunch and early release duty, served Pizza Friday, worked concessions and helped with Trunk or Treat, American History Night, Winter Showcase, Fall Festival, Field Day, Teacher & Staff Appreciation, Grandparents Breakfast and more.
She’s even shared her own talents with our students through Chinese New Year presentations!
For Tsui-chin, volunteering isn’t just about helping. It’s also given her the opportunity to become more connected to the people who make Founders what it is.
“I enjoy volunteering because it gives me a direct way to support our teachers and students. It also gives me opportunities to get to know other parents, teachers and staff. And it’s nice to have a peek into my child’s classes sometimes. I know I am doing something meaningful for the school community.”
That’s the beauty of getting involved. One event, one lunch duty, one field trip or one hour at a time, you’re helping our school while becoming a little more connected to the community around you.
You don’t have to do it all. Just do what you can.
Ready to get involved this year? Your first step is completing the 2026–27 Volunteer Application. A new application is required every school year before volunteering on campus, even if you’ve volunteered with us before.
