On May 20th, 2026 Leander Fire Department Engine 3 responded to a medical emergency involving an adult male in cardiac arrest. Upon arrival, crews immediately initiated life-saving interventions, performing CPR until the patient’s pulse was successfully restored.
Personnel continued providing critical care during transport to the hospital.

The swift and coordinated actions of the firefighters exemplify the Leander Fire Department’s unwavering commitment to excellence and dedication to the highest standards of service.

Their performance reflects great credit upon themselves, the department, and the City of Leander.

Here is our monthly activity report as well as a few photos from last month!

1: Pool rescue training.

Our hearts are with the Round Rock Fire Department after the loss of Fire Driver Zach French. The bonds formed in the fire service run deep, and the loss of one of our own is felt by departments and communities far beyond city limits.

We ask for our community to be in prayer for the family, friends and colleagues as they navigate through this tragedy.

The US National Weather Service Austin-San Antonio Texas has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Williamson County until 9:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 10.

Golf ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts are possible with these storms.
