Texas Humane Heroes is focused on high-volume adoptions at our two No Kill adoption centers, saving the lives of animals at risk of space-related killing at municipal shelters. Texas Humane Heroes offers weekly low-cost spay/neuter appointments and monthly low-cost vaccination clinics to the public.

There's only one Twix!

This five-year-old sweetheart was ready-made to snuggle. She's a lovergirl through and through, and will enthusiastically work her way into the nearest lap she can, snorting and grunting the entire time. She's also got a prominent underbite that helps her give the best, sloppiest kisses.

This is Winston's fourth summer at , but this. year he's stayed cool thanks to the HEROES at Austin Air Conditioning!

Their donation of A/C units to our two dog kennels one year ago has made a world of difference for pups like Winston, staying comfortable through the dog days of summer, so they're always relaxed and ready to meet their forever families.

Put Put is pleased to meet you!

Just over four months old, this little guy has already started figuring out the secrets of being a good boy. He already knows some basic commands, does pretty well on a leash, and is just primed and ready for his forever family.

Happy to Piper and Axl!

These two big pups got the royal treatment today from our preferred vet partner, Firehouse Animal Health Center - Cedar Park!

Piper was sweet the entire time, and so excited her tail never stopped wagging. She went on several walks and got to say hi to everyone that crossed her path. She even liked bath time, although she did try to get the people to join her in the sink.

Axl was his typical energetic self, and was also excited to go on as many walks as possible. He's playful and smart, and just looking for a little structure in his life to truly become the best boy.

Happy to little Milo - formerly Barney!

Milo was just adopted a couple weeks ago, back when his name was Barney. Now he's got a new name, a new home, and a new family, and is already adapting really well! He's got lots of toys and loves playing with Rocket, his new cat sibling. He’s still a little scared of the dogs, but little by little is warming up and establishing his boundaries as he continues to settle into his forever home!
