Join the Leavenworth County Republican Women on Thursday, June 11, 2026, (6:00 pm - 8:00 pm) for an evening of great conversation, connection, and community engagement at their Candidate Meet and Greet Social Event.

This relaxed gathering is designed for you to meet, mingle, and speak directly with the candidates running for County Commissioner and State Representative in your district. Ask questions in a comfortable setting and become better informed before heading to the voting booth.

We will also have a forum discussion from Candidates running for election in your Kansas House of Representatives Districts.

We are pleased to welcome Kansas Secretary of State Candidate Ken Rahjes as our featured guest speaker. In addition, candidates running for Kansas State Representative seats this election season will participate in a forum discussion.

We hope you will join us for our June Republican Town Hall on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Heritage Center, 109 Delaware Street, Leavenworth.

The evening will also include a potluck-style fundraiser dinner hosted by the Leavenworth County Republican Women, featuring deli sandwiches and picnic-style side dishes. Dinner begins at 6:30 p.m., and a suggested donation of $10 is appreciated.

We are pleased to welcome Kansas State Senators, Jeff Klemp and Mike Thompson, as Guest Speakers on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at The Leavenworth County Elephant Club, which meets at the Rodeo Mexican Restaurant, Basehor. Dinner begins at 6:15 p.m. and the speaker program portion starts at 7:00 p.m.

Senator Klemp will share his legislative update, and both Senators will discuss ideas for the next session. Many of you may know of Senator Thompson already, as he was Chief Meteorologist at WDAT-TV in Kansas City before venturing into politics.

Special Shout Out and Thanks to Congressman Derek Schmidt for stopping by to see us during 2nd Congressional District Training today at the Heritage Center. The Congressman took time to answer questions from constituents and provide a legislative update.

We also want to give a heartfelt Leavenworth County thanks to Mr. Don Alexander, Mrs. Jane Alexander, and Mr. Roger Lomshek, who provided outstanding training and gave us insightful resources.
