I want to thank everyone for their support. Volunteers who helped with signs, parades, meetings, or those who were just were there to pitch in, donors, and of course, the voters that came out. I especially want to thank my sister for being my treasurer and of course my wonderful wife who was beside me the whole way through. Although the outcome wasn’t what we had hoped for we had a good campaign and I had the opportunity to meet many new people. I congratulate Tim and Cody for a clean campaign. There was no animosity and we all treated each other with respect. Thank you again to everyone!

Thank you to Leavenworth/Lansing Chamber for sponsoring the candidates forum last night. It’s always a pleasure to get in front of the voters to share thought on the issues. I especially want to thank the large group from Tonganoxie that made the drive to Leavenworth. I think the 5th District had the best attendance!

As we head into the home stretch of this campaign, I'd like to ask one favor.

I'm a 5th-generation Leavenworth County resident, and my family's roots here go back four generations before me, all the way to the Kansas Territory. This county isn't just where I live—it's home, and it's where my family has lived, worked, farmed, and served for generations.

Throughout my life, I've been blessed to serve this community as a retired federal civil servant, a longtime member of the Leavenworth County Fair Association, a 4-H leader, Extension Board Chairman, farmer, auctioneer, and volunteer. I've spent my career solving problems, managing budgets, bringing people together, and working to make our community stronger.

I'm not running because of politics.

I'm running because I care deeply about Leavenworth County and believe our county government should be focused on the people it serves.
