🚫Bridge Replacement Road Closure🚫

Beginning June 1, 2026, the bridge on Horan Lane located past 611 Horan Lane will be replaced. This project is projected to take 90 days to complete, weather permitting.

During this time, please follow these detour instructions:

- Residents at 850 Horan Lane: Please use Barbers Mill Rd.
- Residents at 611 Horan Lane: Please use Springfield Hwy.

New dates: Starting at 7:30am on Tuesday, May 19th and going through June 15th, Popes Creek Rd. will be impassable between addresses 4665 and 4940.
-Residents from 135 Popes Creek to 4665 Popes Creek will have to enter/exit from Danville Hwy.
-Residents from 4940 Popes Creek to 5174 Popes Creek will have to enter/exit from Bradfordsville Hwy.

Starting at 7:30am on May 14th and going through June 9th, the entrance to Sam Browning from St. Rose Rd. will be CLOSED and inaccessible. ALL residents of Sam Browning will need to use Hwy 49 to enter and exit until work is complete. We appreciate your patience while we complete important work to replace the box culvert at the entrance.

Weather permitting, the Marion County Road Department will be replacing a tile at 1095 Frank Lee Rd. on Tuesday, April 28, 2026.

Work is scheduled to take place from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. During this time, there will be no through traffic. If you need to leave the area, please make arrangements to do so before 9:00 a.m.

The burn ban has been lifted.

The Judge has spoken to the Fire Chief this morning and they recommend leaving the Burn Ban in place at this time. We will continue to update this post if anything changes. Thank you!
