Earlier today, SafeNet alerted officers to a black Volvo XC90 associated with a man wanted on active warrants in Tennessee and Texas.

A-Shift officers quickly located the vehicle traveling on Lebanon Road with a man matching the suspect’s description behind the wheel.

Officers conducted a traffic stop and safely took the sole occupant into custody without incident.

The individual was identified as a 23-year-old Lebanon man who was wanted on multiple warrants out of Tennessee and Texas.

The warrants included charges related to terroristic threats in Texas, as well as local Wilson County warrants for theft of merchandise and failure to be booked.

We are grateful for the swift work of our officers in locating wanted individuals and for the technology that continues to support their efforts in keeping our community safe.

With all the rain we've received over the past few weeks, we wanted to share a friendly reminder about the City of Lebanon's municipal code pertaininging to grass and vegetation.

Under the municipal code, grass and weeds must be maintained at a height of less than eight inches.

If your yard gets a little overgrown, don't panic—our Codes Department understands that weather and schedules can sometimes make lawn maintenance difficult.

In most cases, a warning notice will be issued first, giving property owners at a minimum of 10 business days to bring the property into compliance before a citation is considered.

A little maintenance goes a long way in helping keep our neighborhoods safe, clean, and looking their best.

The Lebanon Police Department continues a multi-agency investigation focused on dismantling a vehicle theft ring.

With support from the Tennessee Highway Patrol’s Criminal Investigations Division, the Wilson County Sheriff’s Office, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation, our Special Operations Division executed search warrants at four residences in the Lebanon/Wilson County area, as well as a residence in the 4900 block of Clarksville Highway in the Whites Creek community of Davidson County.

During today’s operation, officers recovered multiple stolen vehicles, including two GMC Sierras reported stolen out of Texas and Ohio, along with a stolen Polaris Slingshot. Investigators also uncovered evidence related to the alteration and falsification of vehicle identification numbers (VINs).

Today’s operation stemmed directly from efforts during a previous multi-agency search warrant operation conducted on April 23, led by the Lebanon Police Department, as part of this ongoing vehicle theft investigation.

The investigation originally began on April 16 after officers located stolen vehicles with altered VINs while executing multiple search warrants related to the illegal sale and distribution of narcotics within the City of Lebanon.

This remains an active and complex investigation, with charges pending. Additional details cannot be released at this time.

We are extremely proud of the dedication and commitment our officers have shown throughout this investigation, and we are grateful for the continued partnership of the assisting agencies that share our commitment to protecting and serving the community.

A correction to the previous release – The Davidson County search warrant occurred in the 4900 block of Clarksville Highway not the 9400 block.
