Yesterday was our final day of fun!
About half of us chose to stay at our hotel to enjoy the pool with the lazy river, the casino, and the beautiful grounds of the resort. The other half of us took off to Biloxi for a day of luck at the casinos and site-seeing.
We took the scenic coastal route along Bay St. Louis, Long Beach, and Gulfport, taking in the beauty of the gulf shores and the stunningly beautiful homes along the way.
Upon arrival in Biloxi, several stayed at the casino, while the rest of us took an adventure off the beaten path. We boarded the Casino Hopper trolley and took a journey around town, all the while getting some belly laughs in from our very own Curtis Bradley. The trolley driver didn’t want him to leave!
We stopped at the Amtrak station and took a short stroll to The Fillin Station, an old gas station turned diner and bar. After a scrumptious lunch of chicken fried steak, gumbo, and seafood pasta, we realized the Hard Rock Hotel, where we arrived on the bus, was literally a straight shot from the diner. We got a good laugh at the fact that we rode all through town to basically end up where we left off. But we had fun along the journey, and that’s all that matters!
Applebee’s was our dinner destination before heading back to our hotel for a good night’s rest, or maybe some more luck in the casino!
