Over the weekend, Sgt. Haller and his family said goodbye to Brix.

Brix proudly served the City of Lebanon from 2015 to 2022 alongside Sgt. Haller. Born in the Netherlands, Brix came to the United States to begin his career as a police K-9 and was ultimately partnered with Sgt. Haller.

Over the next eight years, Sgt. Haller and Brix worked side-by-side, conducting countless narcotics searches, building searches, suspect tracks, and community demonstrations. Through his dedication, and loyalty, Brix played an important role in protecting our community and advancing the mission of the Lebanon Police Department.

Following his retirement, Brix transitioned into another equally important role as a beloved member of the Haller family. He spent his retirement years watching over his young human siblings and faithfully protecting them from potential intruders, specifically squirrels and rabbits.

Brix's service, companionship, and unwavering loyalty left a lasting impact both within our department and within the Haller family. Our deepest sympathies are with Sgt. Haller, his family, and all those who knew and loved Brix.

Rest in Peace, Brix.
