Our next Conservation & Preservation Banquet award winner is the Barry Farms Buffer Project, which received our 2025 Outstanding Conservation Project award!

This award recognizes a conservation effort where land was intentionally set aside or adapted to protect water quality, improve soil health, and benefit the community through thoughtful planning and implementation. The Barry brothers partnered with LCCD to install livestock exclusion fencing for nearly 1,100 feet of stream along Hammer Creek and to plant over 200 trees to stabilize streambanks and improve water quality.
