Ever wonder what a day in the life of one of our officers really looks like?

We spent a day with 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗿 𝗝𝗼𝗻𝗮𝘀 𝗗𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗲𝗹𝘀 — from the early morning hours all the way to end of shift — to show you exactly that. The calls, the community moments, the work you don't always see.
Our officers are out here every single day keeping Lebanon safe, and we think it's worth showing.

This 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸, we want to recognize Officer Daniels and every member of the Lebanon Police Department for their dedication, their sacrifice, and their service to this community.

Your security camera could help solve a crime.

The 𝗟𝗲𝗯𝗮𝗻𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 is launching 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗘𝘆𝗲𝘀, a 𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗿𝗲𝗴𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘆 for residents and businesses with security cameras. If a crime happens nearby, officers may ask if you’re willing to share video from that time.

Tonight we’re proud to recognize Lebanon Police Recruit Josiah Benton on graduating from the Drury University Law Enforcement Academy. This milestone marks the beginning of a career dedicated to service, professionalism, and protecting our community.

Lt. Matthew Wright and Lt. Mark Manning attended the ceremony in support of Josiah as he officially completed the academy. A special moment of the evening was having his badge pinned on by his father-in-law, Wayne Bradshaw.

Congratulations and welcome to the profession. We look forward to seeing the impact you’ll make in our department and community.

Earlier this morning, officers responded to a reported bomb threat at Lebanon High School. Students were safely relocated and no credible threat was found. Read the full statement from Chief Harrison:

Please stay away from the Lebanon Middle School area at this time.

Traffic is already heavy and backed up in the vicinity. If you are not picking up a student, please avoid the area and use alternate routes.

A bomb threat was reported earlier this morning at Lebanon High School. As a precaution, the school has been evacuated and students are being transported to a reunification location.

The Lebanon R-3 School District will share reunification location details directly with parents.

All Lebanon High School students and staff remain safe as law enforcement continues their work.

Emergency personnel are on scene and following established safety protocols. This includes preparation for K-9 units to assist in the response.

We take all threats seriously and are working to ensure the safety of students and staff.

Highway 64 in the vicinity of the high school is currently closed.

Parents the public and media are asked to stay away from the high school and surrounding area to allow emergency personnel to operate safely.

⚠️ 𝗦𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗘 𝗪𝗘𝗔𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗥 𝗔𝗟𝗘𝗥𝗧 — 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗔𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗹 𝟮𝟳
The US National Weather Service Springfield Missouri is forecasting significant severe weather across our area this afternoon and evening. The highest risk window is 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM, but storms could arrive earlier.

Threats include:
- Tornadoes
- Hail up to baseball size
- Damaging winds over 70 mph
- Heavy rain and localized flooding

Lebanon Middle School (2700 Buzz Pride Dr) and Maplecrest Elementary (901 Maple Ln) are only available after 6:00 PM and on weekends. 𝗜𝗳 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗺𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝟲 𝗣𝗠, 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗡𝗢𝗧 𝗯𝗲 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗻.

Safe rooms open when a Tornado Warning is issued or when the Office of Emergency Management determines they are needed. Schools are closed to the public during school hours for student safety.

Only certified therapy dogs are allowed. No other pets permitted.

FEMA-rated public storm safe rooms are opening as severe weather moves into the area.

• Maplecrest Elementary – 901 Maple Lane

These shelters open when a Tornado Warning is issued or when the Office of Emergency Management determines they are needed.

Important:
• Use caution when traveling in severe weather
• If conditions are already dangerous, seek the nearest safe place immediately
