Someone vandalized our police cameras. Again.

This time it's a license plate reader at Atchley Park, hit overnight Aug. 9. That case is still under investigation.

The first one — spray paint on cameras and a sign at Boswell Park in July — was solved by that same afternoon. How? Footage from the cameras themselves.

Nine local kids just got something every kid deserves — a bed of their own.

Saturday morning, Police Chief Jerry Harrison and Fire Chief Sam Schneider joined a group of volunteers building and delivering nine beds to Lebanon children in need, working with Sleep In Heavenly Peace.

This is what public safety in Lebanon looks like off the clock too — showing up for this community in whatever way it needs.

Heads up, Lebanon.

We've received reports of door-to-door solicitors operating in residential neighborhoods — including near Mountrose Street — without valid city permits.
City ordinance requires all peddlers to carry and visibly display a city-issued ID card on a lanyard. No visible card = not legal.
Your rights:

✅ Ask to see their ID card
✅ Tell them to leave — they must go
✅ Call us if they won't: (417) 532-3131

You don't have to open the door. You don't have to listen. And you don't have to tolerate anyone who won't leave.
