In honor of the Route 66 Centennial, the State Historical Society of Missouri's brand-new traveling exhibition, "Missouri’s Main Street: 100 Years of Route 66," is making a pit stop right here in Lebanon!
From June 1st to June 15th, come explore the rich history of the Mother Road. Discover everything from roadside kitsch and unique Ozark architecture to stories of legendary local personalities and the deep cultural impact of America's most iconic highway.
While you're here, don't forget to check out the library's permanent Route 66 Museum to see the life-size recreations of a 1950s diner, gas station, and tourist cabin!
