Last month, Lacomb sixth-graders spent a week at Outdoor School, and what a week they had! Students spent their days exploring the outdoors while diving into hands-on learning -- engaging in interactive lessons that brought science to life. The week was filled with learning, laughter, and plenty of time to connect with classmates in a whole new environment. A big thank you to the staff and parent volunteers who helped make this opportunity possible for our students!

Fourth-grade students in Cathy Avilez's class are building confidence and fluency through Readers Theater! Earlier this week, students worked in groups to read a play in front of their classmates, practicing public speaking and teamwork along the way. Great job to all of our young readers!

We hope our students and families enjoy the winter break, and we will see students back in the classroom on Monday, Jan. 5, 2026.

A little holiday magic was waiting in Amber LeBard’s kindergarten classroom this morning. ✨ Pine cone trees that students decorated this week lit up each table and brought big smiles to little faces. A huge thank you to all our parents, students, staff, and community members who helped make last week’s Winter Concert a success! Our gym was filled to the brim, and the energy, support, and holiday spirit were incredible. We are so proud of our students — they worked hard and truly shined on stage.

✅ Prizes + bragging rights announced at 4:30 PM
