Day 2 of Cedar Fest is here!

Despite a little rain last night, the storm moved out and Little Texas put on a great show to cap off the evening! Now we’re ready for another fun-filled day in Lebanon.

I’ll have my tent set up today with a few goodies, so if you’re out enjoying Cedar Fest, be sure to stop by, say hello, and grab a treat. I’d love the opportunity to meet you, hear your thoughts, and talk about the future of our community.

Come enjoy the vendors, food, music, and all the great things that make Cedar Fest such a special event. See you there! 🇺🇸

Tonight was a little interesting—I had to call in a favor from a friend because I couldn't be in two places at once.

This week is VBS, and tonight was also the town council meeting. Both started at 6:00 PM.

Thankfully, I spoke with another teacher, Mrs. Lisa, in our class ahead of time. Since we have music first and there were extra hands available, I was able to be a few minutes late to VBS so I could get my phone set up to livestream the council meeting.

Mrs. Wanda kept an eye on the livestream to make sure there weren't any technical difficulties, and my wonderful husband stopped by Town Hall to finish the livestream after council returned from executive session.

I love my town, but I love these kids and planting and watering seeds of faith even more. Watching these little ones grow in their faith means far more to me than sitting in a meeting. I'm incredibly grateful for the people around me who helped make sure I didn't have to miss either responsibility tonight.

Now it's time for me to watch the meeting myself and get ready for another day of VBS tomorrow!

If you don't have plans, come join us at Gracewood Community Church tomorrow and Wednesday from 6:00–8:30 PM. We'd love to have you!

Reminder: Town Council Meeting tonight! I will be going LIVE in 30 minutes.

I’m asking a small favor from everyone who follows this page. Our neighbors at the Lebanon Chapel AME Zion Church are only about 20 followers away from reaching the requirement needed to livestream their services.

Being able to stream services would allow family members, shut-ins, those serving away from home, and loved ones who live out of town to stay connected with their church family.

If you have a moment, please visit their page and give them a follow. It costs nothing, takes only a few seconds, and would make a meaningful difference for their congregation.

Thank you for always supporting the organizations, churches, and people who make our community special. ❤️

Come out and support the Lebanon Farmer’s Market today! Lots of great vendors and food trucks set up… and the loaded potato from Lester’s Meat Wagon was absolutely amazing! Stop by, shop local, and grab some good food while you’re there!

Today, we remember and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country and our freedoms. Memorial Day is more than a long weekend — it is a solemn reminder of the cost of liberty and the courage of those who gave everything in service to others.

As we spend time with family and friends today, let us also pause to reflect on the heroes who never made it home and the Gold Star families who carry that loss every day.

May we never forget their sacrifice, and may we always strive to live in a way that honors their legacy.

God bless our fallen heroes, their families, and the United States of America. 🇺🇸
