3rd Alarm Commercial Structure Fire

This morning, just prior to 04:30, Engine 14 was dispatched to the 200 block of West Main Street in Annville Township for a reported commercial structure fire operating on the 3rd alarm. Engine 14 arrived on scene and crews were assigned to fire attack and overhaul operations. Firefighters worked for approximately 4.5 hours before being released from the scene and returning to service.

While crews were operating in Annville, Tanker 14 was dispatched to the 70 block of East Rosebud Road for a reported barn fire. Tanker 14 responded and arrived on scene, completing two water shuttle trips to support firefighting operations before returning to service.

While both the engine 14 and tanker 14 were out on the calls Penryn Fire Company transferred to our station to cover North Cornwall Twp. Rescue engine 28 responded to station 14 with 7.

13 years ago, what is now recognized as Squad 14 — then serving as Rescue-Engine 14 — was featured at the Fire Expo in Lancaster as part of the Glick Fire Equipment display. It was an incredible honor to have our apparatus showcased among some of the industry’s best.

Crazy how fast time flies — and even crazier to look back and see how much the fire service continues to evolve.

🇺🇸 Memorial Day 🇺🇸

Today, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Their sacrifice will never be forgotten.

As we gather with family and friends this holiday weekend, we encourage everyone to take a moment to reflect on the true meaning of Memorial Day and remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms.

We once again need to shoutout our local Speedway for the continued support. They donated more cases of water today in effort to keep our volunteers hydrated with the summer having arrived! If you or anyone you know is interested in helping with water donations please contact the firehouse directly to facilitate drop off/pick up!
