The Lebanon Police Department is accepting applications for Police Officer

Availability for nights, weekends, and holidays is required.

Minimum Requirements:

๐Ÿšจ At least 21 years of age by the time you graduate from the police academy
๐Ÿšจ U.S. citizen
๐Ÿšจ High school diploma or GED
๐Ÿšจ Must possess a valid operatorโ€™s license with a clean driving record
๐Ÿšจ Ability to pass a background check, polygraph, drug screen, medical exam and pass a physical agility test (POPS)
๐Ÿšจ No felony convictions. You must not be prohibited by state or federal law from possessing a firearm

DOCJT Academy: Applicants must successfully complete 20 weeks training in telecommunications and operation of LINK/NCIC. Mandatory completion is a requirement.

โœจ Must prioritize moral character, honesty and a respect for the law.

The Marion County Public Library will be hosting a 5K Color Fun Run in Lebanon, KY, on Saturday, May 9, 2026, from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM.

๐Ÿ“ Starting Location:๏ฟฝMarion County Public Library๏ฟฝ201 E. Main St., Lebanon, KY

Barricades will be in place beginning at 7:00 AM at the following locations:

โœจ Main Street โ€” Spalding Avenue to North Forest Street
๏ฟฝโœจ Harrison Street โ€” M.L. King Avenue to Mulberry Street

The barricades will remain in place until approximately 10:00 AM.

This event will follow the same route as the Pokey Pig 5K Run, with the exception that the race will begin at the Marion County Public Library.

๐Ÿš— Drivers are urged to use caution in the area, watch for runners, and yield the right of way to participants.

We appreciate everyoneโ€™s patience and cooperation as we help keep this event safe and enjoyable for all participants and spectators.
