We're back with a second round of double Apple Award winners! The year is coming to a close quickly and we need to get these staff members recognized! Congratulations to Apple Award recipients, Green Acres Elementary educators Kate Hagner and Erica Cooper!

🍎 School counselor Kate Hagner was recognized for the kindness, positivity, and care she brings to Green Acres each day. Nominators described her as a very "kind, genuine, and giving soul” whose smile and welcoming presence brighten the school for students and staff alike. Others shared how deeply she cares for every student and how supported and encouraged they feel after conversations with her.

🍎 Fifth-grade teacher Erica Cooper was honored for the compassion, dedication, and leadership she shows to students, families, and staff every day. Her warm smile and welcoming classroom help create an environment where students feel supported and encouraged to succeed. One nominator shared that after 25 years in education, Mrs. Cooper has truly mastered the art of teaching.

Congratulations to our newest Apple Award recipients, Lacomb School Instructional Assistant Staci Hare and Kindergarten Teacher Amber LeBard!

🍎 Staci Hare was celebrated for her positivity, professionalism, and unwavering support for students and staff alike. From the classroom to the office to dismissal duty, Staci approaches every task with care and a smile. One nominator described her as “a ray of sunshine,” while another shared, “Not sure what we would do without her.”

🍎 Amber LeBard was honored for the meaningful difference she has made in the lives of her students. One parent nomination shared that Amber has been a trusted, supportive presence for their daughter since kindergarten -- someone who makes school feel safe and welcoming. We are grateful for the kindness, patience, and heart she pours into her students each day.
