🚌 BUS DRIVERS NEEDED FOR 2026-2027 🚌

And the summer months are the perfect time to get trained and ready to go for next school year!

Here’s some information shared from our Transportation Department on particular needs.

They’re looking for drivers for various routes. If you’re only able to do an AM or PM drive, then that’s fine too. Part-time and full-time positions are available. Starting pay for first-time drivers is $22.38/hour, but more 💵 with previous experience.

Summer training is available! Anyone interested is highly encouraged to apply. If any teachers or staff members are interested, then the Transportation Department would like to connect with you as well to explore if a convenient driving schedule could work out for you too.

Lots of options and flexibility.

Want to apply? Just go to this link: https://www.wcschools.com/departments/human-resources/careers

If you have any questions at all, then please reach out to WCS Transportation Director Bill Hoover at [email protected]

He’ll be glad to answer any questions that you may have!

🤩 AMAZING MILESTONES, AFTER MANY MILES! 🚌

The annual WCS Transportation Department’s year-end cookout is always a big hit, especially this year! 🍔

Some very special ladies were recognized for their incredible and invaluable years of service. 🤩

First off, Mrs. Frances Theiring is retiring following 49 years of faithful and dedicated service. That’s just amazing! She will be missed but this is so well-deserved! Big things are happening for her soon as she will be inducted into the Tennessee School Bus Driver Hall of Fame in June, with the ceremony taking place at Pigeon Forge. 🎉✨🎉✨

Also, a very big congrats to Mrs. Melinda Roberts on her retirement after 40 years! Incredible! 🤩

Mrs. Barbara Cantrell is retiring after 34 years of wonderful service, we wish her the very best! 🤩

Mrs. Sophia Riddell is turning in her keys after 23 years of awesome service. Happy Retirement to her!

All of these women are appreciated, and we say thank you! 📢

We also have Ms. Mary Lambert. She was recognized for her 40 years of service, but she’s not retiring. When asked if that was something she considered, she said, “Heck no, I’ve got many more miles left in me and these kids keep bringing me back every year. I couldn’t imagine life without them.” ❤️

We’re over-the-moon for Ms. Mary, and so many others feel the same way. We appreciate her very much!

Several other drivers were also honored for their milestone years of service as well. Bus Technician staff member Carson McNabb was recognized as the “Rising Star Award” for all of his efforts. Congrats to him! ✨

There’s so much gratitude to give when we think about our transportation/bus driver staff, they do so much and we appreciate each and every one of them! 💯

Thank you all, for all that you do! 📢
