Sometimes the days are busy, the calendars are full, and the to-do lists seem endless. Then a reminder like this arrives.

I recently received feedback from a graduating student who shared that the support he/she received at Missouri State University Outreach in Lebanon made a difference in their educational journey.

This is my why.

Serving students, helping answer questions, reducing barriers, and being there when they need support is the reason I do what I do. It is also why our faculty does what they do every day.

I'm grateful for the opportunity to work with such dedicated instructors and to support students as they pursue their goals.

Student success will always be at the heart of our work. ❤️

The last two weeks have been a blur, and I wanted to take a moment to thank the Ozarks Technical Community College for inviting me to speak at the Lebanon Area Chamber of Commerce August Business Builder's Luncheon.

It was great to share the many opportunities available through Missouri State University Outreach and to talk about how local students can continue their education while staying connected to their community. Events like this remind me how fortunate we are to have organizations working together to create strong educational and career pathways for students.

Thank you again to the Ozarks Tech Lebanon Center for hosting and providing lunch!

I had a great time at the Lebanon Area Chamber of Commerce Business Builders Luncheon today! It was wonderful to see so many familiar faces and connect with some new ones as well.

A special thank you to T's Teesfor sharing about their business. Not only were they incredibly generous with shirts and swag, but what stood out most was their purpose-driven approach. Their message really resonated with me: “Building a business isn’t just about making a living; it’s about making a difference.” What an inspiring reminder of the impact local businesses can have in our community!

And it truly was “T’s all around” today, T’s Redneck Steakhouse did an excellent job with lunch which always makes the event more enjoyable.

Grateful to be part of a community that supports one another and is committed to making a difference!

Last week I had the opportunity to visit the Lake Region GOCAPS Capstone Night, and this week I spent time with the Tri-Lakes Area GOCAPS Showcase, and I continue to be so impressed.

The energy, professionalism, and curiosity these students bring to their learning environments is incredible. Seeing them engage with real-world experiences and take ownership of their futures is exactly what makes programs like GOCAPS so impactful. It’s clear they are developing the skills and confidence that will serve them well in whatever path they choose.

A sincere thank you to the directors and instructors at both Lake Region and Tri-Lakes for welcoming me and allowing me to be part of your programs. The dedication you show to these students does not go unnoticed, and it truly makes a difference.

I also want to give a special congratulations to one of our Missouri State Outreach instructors Mr. Bryan Campbell, who was honored at the Lake Region night with a plaque of appreciation for his many years of support. It was wonderful to see his commitment recognized, and it is well deserved!

Grateful for these partnerships and the opportunity to support such outstanding students.
