There are two new bestsellers, ten new movies, one new children's book, and one other new book.

The new bestsellers this week are "NBA 2K26 [Nintendo Switch]" and "Starbites [PlayStation 5]." The new movies this week include "Project Hail Mary [Blu-ray]," "The Super Mario Galaxy Movie [Blu-ray]," and "The Devil Wears Prada 2 [Blu-ray]."

In 1995, Dolly created Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, inspired by her father, who she said was one of the smartest people she knew but never had the opportunity to learn to read. What began as a way to give children in her home community access to books grew into a worldwide gift of literacy.

Her belief was simple: every child deserves the chance to fall in love with reading. And because of that belief, millions of children have opened their mailboxes to find something magical: a book with their name on it.

Thank you, Dolly, for reminding us that the greatest gifts don't always come wrapped in ribbons. Sometimes, they come between two covers.

May your legacy continue to grow, one child, one book, and one story at a time.

School has started, and we wanted to remind our families, per Coffey County Library policy, patrons 7 years old and younger must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible guardian who is at least 12 years old or older inside the library.

There will be NO ORGANIZED EXERCISE class FRIDAY morning (Aug 21). The room will be open for any that want to work out on their own. Regularly scheduled classes will resume Monday, 8/24.
