Here are some updates! 🦟 We've seen a lot of comments asking about what we're doing for dengue and that we're never on the east side of the county, never fogging, etc, etc. Mosquito numbers are exploding now because of all of that rain we got a couple of weeks ago.

Below is a photo of all of the service requests that are on the board as of this morning. We are working hard to get to them all. The second photo is of our online treatment map. All of the green is recent fog truck missions on the east side of the county.

We are increasing mosquito trapping, doing door-to-door inspections, liquid larviciding to kill larval mosquitoes, aerial larviciding and adulticiding, adulticiding with our spray trucks, and still doing daytime inspections/larviciding and still responding to all of your service requests! We are hosting a tour today, giving a presentation tomorrow, and going to the Citrus County Chronicle Healthy Living event this weekend to speak to citizens. Tomorrow, Friday and Saturday we are participating in the county's tire amnesty event to eliminate dengue breeding grounds.

Even though we are doing all of this, putting in a service request is the best way to let us know if you are having a mosquito problem so we can focus our efforts and treat your area accordingly. Please visit our website to do that as we cannot read/respond to hundreds of facebook comments. https://citrusmosquito.org/ww2/contact/requests/
