The Citrus County Aviation Board Meeting on September 10, 2026 has been cancelled due to a scheduling conflict with Board members. The next meeting will be October 8, 2026 at 2 p.m. at the Lecanto Government Building.

Come line dancing at our Citrus County Community Centers! The East Citrus Community Center in Inverness is hosting a Line Dancing Social for all skill levels every third Friday of the month.

You can also come line dancing weekly:

• Mondays, 12 p.m. - 2 p.m., Line Dancing with Ann Marie at East Citrus Community Center in Inverness
• Wednesdays, 12 p.m. - 2 p.m. at East Citrus Community Center in Inverness
• Wednesdays, 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. at West Citrus Community Center in Homosassa
• Tuesdays, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., Line Dance Class for Improvers on at Central Citrus Community Center in Lecanto
• Thursdays, 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. , Line Dance Class for Beginners at Central Citrus Community Center in Lecanto
• Friday, September 11, 12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. , Line Dance Social Hosted by Cher Mason

Today, the Citrus County Board of County Commissioners recognized Save Our Waters Week, which is coming up September 19-26.

The Keep Citrus County Beautiful Pride Award was given to the residents of the Dixie Shores Community for their grassroots community beautification project including a community clean up, welcome signage and landscaping.

The Service Dog Alliance of Florida also recognized our county for its support spreading service dog awareness and education.

We’re grateful to live in a community that comes together to make a difference!

Join us for Introduction to Line Dancing with Ann Marie from September 14 to October 19 on Mondays from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM for $5 each class.

Learn basic steps, simple combinations, and fun beginner dances in a friendly, supportive environment. No experience needed to join the class just a pair of sneakers or Dance shoes.
