Food and Fun Summer Camp
July 20–24, 2026
Get ready for a week packed with hands-on cooking, creative activities, games, and summer fun! Join UF/IFAS Extension Citrus County for an exciting camp experience where youth will explore healthy eating, learn basic kitchen skills, and discover where food comes from. Campers will dive into the five food groups through interactive lessons, cooking activities, nutrition games, crafts, and team-building fun.
Throughout the week, participants will learn how to make healthy food choices, practice safe food preparation, and build confidence in the kitchen while trying new foods and recipes. Campers will also enjoy engaging activities that encourage creativity, teamwork, and healthy lifestyles in a fun and supportive environment.
Whether your child enjoys cooking, learning new things, or simply having fun with friends, this camp offers something for everyone!
Ages: 8–12
Hours: 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM
Cost: $75 per participant
Camp will be held at the Citrus County Canning Center
3405 W Southern St.
Lecanto, FL 34461
