🍎 Good news for the 2026-2027 school year: every Rapides Parish student will receive FREE breakfast and lunch at school!

✅ Every enrolled student qualifies.
✅ No applications or paperwork needed.

This is made possible through the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP); a federal program that allows high-need districts to provide free meals to all students without requiring individual applications.

We're grateful to our Director of Food & Nutrition Services, Ms. Erma Davis, and her team for their hard work in securing our CEP status for this year!

On June 27, Rapides Parish voters will see a parish-wide renewal measure on the ballot, and we want to make sure every family understands what it means.

This is a renewal, not a new tax.

Here's what this measure supports:
🚌 Fuel for our buses
💡 Utilities at every school
👩‍🏫 Salaries for the teachers and staff who serve our students
🏥 Hospitalization and insurance costs for our employees
🔧 Day-to-day building maintenance and facility needs

These are the everyday essentials that keep more than 21,000 students learning across our 42 schools. Renewing this measure keeps our current level of support in place. Nothing new is added to what our community already pays.

⚽️ Lady Mustang Soccer is off to a great start this summer! ⚽️

Under the leadership of Coach Janzen, the girls have been working hard during weekly practices and competing in summer soccer games. Their dedication and teamwork are already paying off—they won their first game of the season! 🎉
This summer is about more than just winning. The Lady Mustangs are spending their time learning the game, developing their skills, building confidence, and growing as a team. We are proud of their commitment and excited to see what they accomplish in the months ahead.
