🚍 Become a bus operator for the students of Rapides Parish!

Our certification class is free, and full-time drivers receive state retirement and state group health insurance.

Bus operators help ensure that students are ready to learn and succeed each day by bringing them safely to and from school. This is a job where operators can see the difference they make, and we invite interested candidates to register soon!

Today the RHS Bass Club held its first bass tournament at Red River in Pineville. A total of eleven teams participated. These anglers reeled in a total of 19 bass with a combined weight of 23.3 lbs. Our first place winners were Alex N. and Joseph H. With a 5 bass limit weighing in at 7.1 lbs. Alex N. also won Big Bass with a 2.6 lb bass. Coming in at second place was Daniel G. and Jacob G. They also had their 5 bass limit weighing in at 4.9 lbs. Third place went to Waylon H. and Braylan M. with a catch of 3 bass weighing in at 3.1 lbs. Congratulations to all of the anglers and their captains. We want to send out a special thank you for all of our sponsors and family members who continue to support our teams. This is just the beginning of a great year of fishing for this team. To my anglers, “ keep those lines tight and make every cast count.”

🇺🇸 Together Tuesday at Rapides High! 🇺🇸

Today, we were excited to welcome the Louisiana National Guard to Rapides High for our first Together Tuesday of the school year!

SSG Jessica Ruda spent the day greeting students and visiting with our Mustangs. During lunch, she was joined by SSG Chase Reynolds and SSG Jacob Wrubel. Together, they connected with students, answered questions, and shared information about the many opportunities available through the Louisiana Army National Guard.

We appreciate them taking the time to invest in our students and help them learn about opportunities for their futures! 💚🤍

Our EMR students are practicing proper glove removal to prevent cross-contamination and keep themselves and their patients safe. It may seem like a small skill, but in emergency care, the basics matter! 💪❤️
