Lecompton friends — we need your helping hands!
Lecompton is gearing up to do some clean-up at the newly acquired Gymnasium, and we’re calling on community volunteers to join us for a day of teamwork, fresh paint, and good energy.

🧹 Cleanup Day: Saturday, July 11, 2026
📍 Location: Lecompton Gym, 630 E Woodson Ave
⏰ Time: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM

We’ll be tackling general cleaning, paint prep, painting (inside & out), & yard work.

If you’re able to lend a hand — even for an hour — your help makes a real difference. Bring your friends, bring your family, and let’s take care of a space that belongs to all of us.

Bring your energy, your neighbors, and your community spirit. Together, we can make a big impact.

Lecompton Community Cookout ~ Celebrating American 250 - Let the Mayor and City Council cook for you!

Saturday June 27th at 6:30pm ~ 327 Elmore St.
Everyone from Lecompton and Lecompton Township are Welcome to attend!
Bring a lawn chair, Hamburgers, Hotdogs, chips and bottled water will be provided.

Rain, Rain, stay away! Lecompton City Wide Sales start on Friday!
General start time at 8am.
Rain or shine - keep an eye out for signs, and make sure to check west of town. There are usually a few sales about a mile west.
Lecompton is NW of Lawrence about 8 miles
and 3 miles south of Perry.
