A domestic violence call Sunday escalated into a fatal shooting, claiming the life of K-9 Nyx and injuring a suspect.

Chief Mike Rompa proudly announces K-9 Deputy Chief Scout’s graduation from her certification program. Scout and her handler Officer Britton have successfully completed an intensive eight-month certification process and become Bolingbrook’s first ever deployable bloodhound team.

Praise passed away last night. Our hearts are with the Culver Family and Dupage County Sheriff Dept.
Praise spent her whole life supporting the community she was deployed for so many missions, she can now Rest In Peace.

Never seems to get easier as this year goes on....
We have lost another great working K9 over the rainbow bridge. DPTY Laura Richardson lost Bella today.
Bella has served for over 10yrs with the Dupage County Sheriff Department. A lot of you saw her when she just started training and have seen her successes over the years.
Rest easy Bella and thank you for your life of dedication to our communities.
