Farewell Husky Families! 💙🐾💙
As I wrapped up my time as PTA President this week, I realized just how much this role became part of our family’s life. Countless hours went into planning parties and school events, and creating traditions that I hope continue for years to come. From starting the annual Read-A-Thon, Fall Fun Fest, and Pretzels with Pals, to decorating for staff appreciations and class parties, organizing “Party in a Bag” during the COVID era, leading monthly meetings, and helping pull off unforgettable 5th grade celebrations — every moment was worth it.
I’ve met so many amazing people through Highland Park Elementary and made memories I’ll always treasure. This school community truly became like family to me.
My house will probably be thrilled that the entryway is no longer overflowing with PTA supplies, my basement corner can finally retire from being event storage central, and my family is excited to get a few extra hours of me back each week 😂
But even with the late nights, the chaos, and the endless bins of decorations… I’ll miss it all so much. Thank you, HPE, for letting me be part of something so special. ❤️
