Loudoun County Veterans Program Helping veterans by providing information and referrals to employment and training assistance, family support, housing, and mental health services.

This program is designed to be a one-stop information, outreach, and referral hub for current and former service members from any era and their families, and to establish a collaborative network of partners who serve veterans in Loudoun County.

The Association of Defense Communities is conducting a nationwide survey to better understand current sentiments about racial equality in defense communities around the country. The ideal candidates for responding to the survey include: Military Service members (Active duty, Reserves, National Guard), dependents, spouses, domestic partners, veterans, and DoD civilians). The survey is anonymous and closes on Wednesday, December 23, 2020. The survey results will inform a national report in early 2021. Please take a few minutes to respond to the survey and share the survey link with others in your network.

Very hot & humid conditions once again today with a Heat Advisory in effect for much of the area. Expect heat indices to rise up to 103 west of the Blue Ridge Mountains, while values up to 109 degrees will be possible to the east and into the Baltimore and D.C. metro areas.

In addition to the heat, there is also a threat for strong to severe storms this afternoon and evening, with damaging wind gusts the primary threat. The best potential for stronger storms will be along and south of the Baltimore/D.C. metro and the I-66 corridor.
