We have been honored to work with so many outstanding interns and students who spent part of their senior year learning, growing, and gaining experience with us. Congratulations to the Class of 2026! We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Officer Yeager.

Our thoughts and prayers are with her family, as well as her law enforcement family at Central Berks Regional Police Department, during this difficult time.

May they find comfort in the memories they shared and strength in the support of those around them. Officer Yeager’s service and dedication to her community will not be forgotten.

Today, our department mourns the heartbreaking loss of Officer Kristen Yeager, who made the ultimate sacrifice while responding to a call for service on May 29, 2026.

Officer Yeager served our community with courage, compassion, and unwavering dedication. She answered the call to protect and serve each day, placing the safety of others above her own. Her commitment to her badge, her fellow officers, and the citizens she served will never be forgotten.

We ask that you keep Officer Yeager’s family, friends, and our entire law enforcement family in your thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time.

Rest easy, Officer Yeager. Your watch has ended, but your legacy of service and sacrifice will live on forever. We got it from here.

It’s EMS Week!

But what is EMS Week, and why do we celebrate it?

Every day, thousands of Americans call 911 for medical emergencies. When they call, they are trusting that someone will show up who is calm, confident, and ready to help.

EMS providers strive to be that person every day. EMS providers work to be knowledgeable, prepared, and skilled so they can care for those who rely on them. EMS providers strive to be the voice of calm and reason in some of life’s most chaotic moments. Above all else, EMS providers strive to help people in their time of need.

That is why EMS providers show up day after day. Through long shifts and restless nights, EMS providers continue to answer the call. Whether a patient is facing a life-changing emergency or simply needs a hand to hold, EMS providers still show up.

That is why EMS Week is celebrated. It is a time to honor the brave men and women who work through snowstorms, pandemics, flooding, fires, and countless difficult moments — all to serve and care for their communities.

To every EMS provider out there: thank you for what you do, and Happy EMS Week!

We would like to congratulate our intern Gabe Martin who is graduating from Schuylkill Valley High School, and has now committed to IUP! Gabe has been interning with us for quite a while, and has become a valuable part of our team. We will miss having him around, but wish him the best the luck!!!
