Quaker Valley School District

Quaker Valley School District Quaker Valley School District welcomes alumni, parents and friends to our page. We are a small district with a reputation for quality.

Quaker Valley School District is located along the Ohio River 12 miles northwest of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Residents have easy access to major highways and Pittsburgh International Airport. Our community is diverse, including various ethnic, racial and socioeconomic populations. Our stable population includes third and fourth generation Quaker Valley families, as well as those who have come to

us not only from other states, but also from other countries. We embrace this diversity as an opportunity for cultural understanding and exchange. As a result, our schools mirror the cohesive, small-town atmosphere of the community they serve. School and class sizes allow for a personal approach to instruction. Quaker Valley recognizes that it takes a cumulative experience of excellence to produce students who will be internationally competitive. To that end, an innovative curriculum challenges all students to excel as independent thinkers and learners, and gives each the support and incentive to do so successfully. We are honored to have had all four of our schools selected for National Blue Ribbon Awards of Excellence.

As many of them serve their final days across the District, we would like to honor our 2026-2026 retirees. On Wednesday, May 27, the District held its annual Retiree Recognition Dinner, celebrating the combined 232 years of service of our twelve retirees. Together we celebrated the beginning of new adventures!

May their retirement bring each of them joy, relaxation, new experiences, and plenty of time to enjoy the people and things they love most!

• Quaker Valley High School – Marc Duchin
• Quaker Valley High School – Jeremy Pidhirny
• Quaker Valley High School – Dana Williams
• Quaker Valley Middle School – Denise Petrosky

Congratulations, Miss Ann on your much deserved retirement! Thank you for keeping so many students safe through the years!

After twenty eight years as our crossing guard at the intersection of Beaver Road and Chestnut Road, Miss Ann has officially retired! She loved to see the multiple generations of kids grow up, return to Edgeworth, and have families of their own.

Miss Ann kept students safe every day, no matter the weather, and we are grateful for her many years of service to our community. Thank you Miss Ann, we will miss you!
