Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers today. 🚒 A Historic Night for Our Community 🚒
On Monday, May 11th, members of Big Sewickley Creek, Fair Oaks, and Leetsdale Fire Departments came together for something much bigger than a routine business meeting.
At each department’s monthly meeting, members voted to formally sign the Merger Agreement and Resolution — officially paving the way for a new unified department: the Quaker Valley Fire District.
This is the result of countless hours of work, tough conversations, and an unwavering commitment to better serving our community. While the process will be finalized later this year, all three departments will continue operating together and protecting the people we serve.

🔥Multiple Working Fires🔥

Before 11:30 yesterday morning, Units from Leetsdale, Bell Acres and Fair Oaks responded into Leetsdale Industrial Park for a lift on fire and a worker trapped in the bucket. Engine 309 responded with 3 and extinguished the fire. The worker self-extricated prior to arrival and was placed in the care of EMS.

Just after 5:00, units responded back into LIP for a reported dumpster fire against a building. Police confirmed a working fire with extension to the building, upgrading the response bringing additional aid. Engine 309 arrived and stretched. Engine 308 operated as the second due engine, Tanker 307 served as an additional water supply. 309C-2 held the command.
