💜 Sometimes the most important thing we can do is simply notice one another. 💜

September is Su***de Prevention Awareness Month, a reminder that connection matters. A check-in. A listening ear. Inviting someone in. Helping a friend connect with a trusted adult. Small actions can make a meaningful difference.

At Willowcreek, We Belong means more than simply being part of our school—it means working together to create a community where people feel seen, supported, and connected.

If you are worried about yourself or someone else, please talk with a parent/guardian, school counselor, teacher, administrator, or another trusted adult. Help is also available anytime by calling or texting 988 to reach the Su***de & Crisis Lifeline.

We all have a role to play. We can look out for one another. ❤️

Help Your Student Become an Attendance All-Star!

You don't want to miss our Attendance All-Star Parties! Help your student qualify by keeping their attendance record on track:

Arrive on Time: Help your student beat the morning bell every day
Check Out Properly: Remind your student they must be checked out by a parent or guardian with their picture ID at the attendance office before leaving campus. Anyone leaving campus before being checked out will not be excused and will be marked truant.

Excuse Past Absences & Morning Tardies: Call the main office or log into the parent portal to excuse any full day unexcused absences. First-period tardies are the only tardies that can be excused by calling us or sending your student with a signed note.

Tomorrow is the FIRST DAY of the 2026-2027 school year. First period starts at 8:15--please be on time! Here are some tips for how to start the year off on the right foot:

-Start with a positive attitude and a smile!
-Have your schedule ready. Print a copy at home or save a screenshot on your phone so it’s easy to access.
-Bring your student ID card so you’re ready to purchase lunch.
-Charge your Chromebook and know your login information. If you’re unable to log in, make sure your parent/guardian has completed the Acceptable Use Agreement in the Q Student Information Update.
-If you ride the bus, know your route and schedule before heading to school.
-Don’t be afraid to ask for help. There will be plenty of adults ready to point you in the right direction.
-Look out for others, include someone new, and have fun!

PARENTS--Have you ever wanted to be a part of the Willowcreek School Community Council? The Council is responsible for overseeing the spending of School LAND Trust dollars and gets an inside look at some of the great things taking place at WMS.

If this interests you, please fill out the application (the application link can be found on the school website and in the Instagram bio) to have your name added to the ballot. Voting will take place August 12th-17th. (this opportunity does not require any type of campaigning)

Similarly to last year, School Pictures will be taken and Chromebooks will be handed out BEFORE SCHOOL STARTS. Drop by the school anytime between 8AM and 3PM on August 13th or 14th to take your picture and grab your Chromebook.

If you are unable to make these dates, your picture will be taken during Picture Retakes (September 29th) and you will receive a Chromebook sometime during the beginning of school.
