🌳 Lehi's urban forest is getting a health checkup!

Throughout June, Lehi City will be conducting a public tree inventory to better understand the species, size, condition, and overall health of approximately 35,000 public trees across our community.

Why does it matter? Trees do more than beautify our neighborhoods—they provide shade, improve air quality, help manage stormwater, support mental wellness, and make Lehi a healthier place to live.

The information collected will help guide future tree care, maintenance, pruning, planting, and replacement efforts while identifying areas that could benefit from additional tree coverage.

📍 The inventory will include public trees located in park strips, parks, the Lehi Cemetery, and around city facilities. Trees on private property will not be included.

As survey teams work throughout the city using specialized mapping and scanning equipment, thank you for helping us support a healthy and resilient urban forest for years to come! 🌱

💃 Dance classes are now underway at the Legacy Center, but there's still time to join!

Whether your child is just starting out or loves to dance, we offer classes for ages 3–10 in Creative Dance, Ballet, Jazz, Tap, and Contemporary. Classes meet just once a week and run through July 31.

🐾 Beginning this month, our dog parks will follow a monthly maintenance schedule to help keep the parks clean, safe, and enjoyable for everyone.

• Exchange Dog Park: Closed the first Tuesday of each month
• Willow Park Dog Park: Closed the first Wednesday of each month

Both closures will last the full day. Thank you for your cooperation as we work to maintain these community spaces!

🚧 ROAD WORK NOTICE | June 2 & June 9 🚧

To help preserve and extend the life of our city streets, a preventive road maintenance treatment will be applied on Tuesday, June 2 and Tuesday, June 9 along 1700 West from Main Street to Pioneer Crossing.

This maintenance helps improve road quality, enhance safety, and reduce the need for more costly repairs in the future. Work is scheduled to begin at approximately 7:00 AM on both dates.

To ensure the project can be completed safely and effectively, please:

🚗 Move all vehicles off the street before 7:00 AM. Vehicles left on the roadway may be towed at the owner's expense.

💧 Turn off all outdoor watering systems (sprinklers, hoses, drip systems, etc.) at least 24 hours before construction, during the maintenance process, and until the roadway has fully reopened. Water can interfere with the installation and curing of the surface treatment.

⛔ Stay off closed streets and avoid driving on untreated surfaces. Driving on the roadway before it is ready can damage the new surface and may result in liability for repairs.

The roadway is expected to reopen once the treatment has properly cured, typically within a short period after work is completed, weather permitting.
