CCFPO hosted the first meeting after the January inaugural meeting of the Fire Police of Pennsylvania. It was a huge success. Food was donated from local restaurants that support the fire police and fire companies. There were 30 attendees and CCFPO had 10 members to represent Carbon County. Since the FPofPA is just starting, this meeting was more for learning what we, the fire police member, need and want to know. This is why this association was formed: to help fire police across the Commonwealth of PA. Discussions included training possibilities, equipment needs, and we worked on adding to the bylaws.

FPof PA has a website that is being updated regularly. https://fpofpa.org There is a "contact us" section for any and all questions. There is also a list of training classes available. It is a work in progress. Please, do not hesitate to contact FPofPA with your questions. They are looking for input from us, the ones out there. They do not want to be a board at a table dictating what is going to happen. Far from it. They are there for us.

Finally, I would like to thank the following: Lake Harmony Fire Company for hosting the meeting, Penn Forest 2 Fire Company for their beverage donation, Valerio's Pizza, Piggys restaurant and Terra Cotta
restaurant for their delicious food donations, and the Country Peddler market across the street for all the odds and ends that were missed.

This Sunday, March 8, 2026, the Fire Police of PA (www.FPofPA.org) will hold their first meeting since their inaugural meeting in January. Carbon County Fire Police Organization, a charter member, is happy to host this meeting at the Lake Harmony Fire Company located at 257 Lake Harmony Rd, Lake Harmony, PA 18624. Lunch will be served at 12:00 PM and the meeting will begin at 1:00 PM. Please make every effort to have a strong showing for Carbon County and attend the meeting.

Fire Police of PA was created with the following statement in mind: "We compile trainings, provide leadership resources, and advocate on behalf of all fire police within the Commonwealth. Our aim is to foster a member-centered and inclusive organization for sharing knowledge, experiences, and ideas to enhance the capabilities and professionalism of volunteer fire police."

This will undoubtedly be a great opportunity for all Fire Police in the state of Pennsylvania. Please attend to find out more!

Our founding members have a desire to make fire police professional, responsible, and respected members of emergency services. Optimizing this supporting role ensures emergency responders have better on-scene resources.
