🎉 Our 1st graders had a rockin’ good time celebrating the 50th Day of School! 🕺💃 Dressed in their best 1950s style — poodle skirts, leather jackets, and all — students enjoyed fun, hands-on activities and special treats centered around the number 50. What a fabulous way to mark this milestone!

📚✨ Our kindergarteners had a deliciously fun time during their book tasting for the next Wit and Wisdom module, Once Upon a Farm! 🐄🌾 Using their special “book menus,” students previewed each story they’ll explore in the coming weeks — all while enjoying some tasty snacks! 🍎📖
It was a fun and yummy experience for all! Great job, kindergarten readers! 💙🐾

📚✨ Storybook magic filled our halls at Leicester Elementary today! Students and staff celebrated a love of reading during Book Character Dress-Up Day. From Chicka Chicka Boom Boom to Dog Man, Fly Guy, Brown Bear, Brown Bear, Miss Nelson & Viola Swamp, Remy, and Miss Frizzle & the Magic School Bus—our school was full of favorite characters come to life! What a fun and creative way to celebrate the joy of reading together! ❤️📖

Girls on the Run is so much fun! 💕🏃‍♀️

Yesterday our Leicester Elementary Girls on the Run team completed their practice 5K, and we couldn’t be prouder! 🎉 Our amazing cheer squad was there every lap of the way, bringing the energy and encouragement. 🌟

Our students had a blast working in teams to solve math problems — with a twist! The winning team got to pick exercises for the other team to do… but it turns out everyone wanted to do the exercises! 😄💪

Our third graders kicked off Wit & Wisdom Module 2 with an out-of-this-world Space Book Tasting! 📚🌌 Students sampled their new space-themed texts while enjoying fun, galactic snacks. 🌠🍪

Her leadership, kindness, and dedication makes our school an incredible place to learn and grow. She goes above and beyond every single day for students, staff, and families, and we are so grateful for her steady guidance and endless encouragement.

🎃 It’s Pumpkin Season! 🎃

Last week, Mrs. McAbee's 4th grade class got hands-on with some pumpkin fun! Students worked together to weigh their class pumpkin and estimate the number of seeds inside. While counting, they quickly realized that counting each seed one by one wasn’t the most efficient way to find the total.

In cooperative learning groups, students grouped the seeds and counted by 10s and 20s before adding up their totals. The grand total? 603 pumpkin seeds! 🌟

That’s a lot of seeds — and a whole lot of learning (and fun) packed into one pumpkin! 🎃✨
