Staff Pick Saturday

Start at the End by Emma GREY

Start at the End follows Audrey and Fraser, two people who unexpectedly fall into a deep, once‑in‑a‑lifetime love. Just as they begin building their future together, a tragic event shatters their plans and leaves them struggling with grief, guilt, and the haunting question of what might have been. The story explores second chances, alternate paths, and the difficult journey of starting over when a love story ends too soon.

I chose this book because I like the way the story was presented. I thought it was interesting to see the two versions of the same story. I have to admit that a few tears were shed while reading it.

This will be my last staff pick here at Leicester Library. I’ll be moving over to South Buncombe/Skyland Library next week.
I want to thank you all for being the best patrons a library can ask for. The Leicester Community is the best!

Thank you, Leicester Community, for taking me in as your own and showing me so much love and support as I transition to another library within the county.
You are truly what makes this library special, and I will miss you all!

I hope you'll welcome the new staff member with open arms just like you welcomed me a little over 3 years ago.

If you are ever in the Biltmore Park area, stop by at the Skyland library and say hi!

Tai Chi for Beginners at Leicester Library

Wednesday, September 2 @ 4pm

To register, visit www.buncombenc.gov/library and search for "Tai Chi" on the Events calendar or scan the QR code.

Participants will have the opportunity to learn and practice several Beginner Level Tai Chi Forms that have repeatedly shown to improve arthritis symptoms and reduce the risk and severity of falls. Tai Chi practice also promises to increase strength, improve balance, and sharpen cognitive focus while instilling a sense of calm for both mind and body.

Due to limited space, class registration will initially be offered to community members who have not previously participated in our Tai Chi classes at the Leicester Library. If you are a returning student please contact [email protected] and you will be placed on a waiting list.

Patricia Gilliam is a certified instructor with the Tai Chi for Health Institute. This class is free to participants thanks to the sponsorship of the Friends of Leicester Library.
