Get your team together and come out for a great day of softball, competition, and community support with the Leighton Fire Department!

📅 AUGUST 1ST⏰ Starting at 8:00 AM📍 Colbert County Softball Field

💲 Teams are $100 per team👥 Player maximum of 10 and minimum of 9 players📝 Team Registration Ends July 17th

🏆 WINNER AND RUNNER UP will get the opportunity to play against the 2026 Class 3A State Runner-Up Lady Indians Softball Team! 🥎🔥

📌 Tournament Rules & Format:• Games are 7 innings, 1 hour and 30 minutes, or mercy rule — whichever comes first• All teams will compete in a double elimination tournament• Once teams are registered and brackets are set, your first game time will be scheduled and teams will be notified

Today, the Leighton Police Department pauses to honor and remember the brave men and women of the United States Armed Forces who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.

Memorial Day is not just a long weekend—it is a time of reflection, gratitude, and remembrance for those who gave their lives to protect the freedoms we enjoy every day.

We also recognize the families of our fallen heroes, whose strength and sacrifice continue long after the loss of their loved ones.

From all of us at LPD, we extend our deepest respect and gratitude. Their courage will never be forgotten.

From all of us back home in Leighton and across Colbert County, we are extremely proud of the hard work, determination, and dedication each of you have shown throughout the season. You represented your school, community, and tribe with pride both on and off the field.
