Now that school is back in session, the Leitchfield Aquatic Center is transitioning to weekend-only hours for the remainder of the season.

You can still catch some summer fun and cool off with us every weekend:

Updated Schedule:
- Saturdays: 10 AM – 6 PM
- Sundays: 1 – 6 PM

The summer flew by, and the sound of school buses is back. The City of Leitchfield wants to wish all of our Grayson County students, teachers, administrators, and staff a fantastic, safe, and successful 2026–2027 school year.

Parents and drivers, please remember to slow down in school zones, stay alert near bus stops, and give yourself a little extra time for the morning traffic routine. Let's all work together to keep our kids safe!

It’s Tail Waggin' Tuesday, and we’re ready to dish out the Scoop!

Meet Scoop, a 1.5-year-old sweetheart who holds a special place in our hearts. He's officially our longest resident at our shelter, and we are on a mission to change that today.

Here’s the scoop on Scoop:
- Kid-approved: He’s currently living in a foster home with a child and doing great.
- Dog-friendly: He does well around other dogs.
- People-obsessed: Above everything else, Scoop just wants your love, pets, and cuddle time.

He has been waiting so patiently for his turn. Could your home be his forever landing spot?

What an incredible weekend! From the first spark of the Friday night fireworks and the 5K, to the delicious pancake breakfast, free kids' rides, WKCC Car Show, and world-class music on the Square, the City of Leitchfield truly showed out for the Fiddle Festival.

Thank you to all of our incredible volunteers, city staff, vendors, talented competitors, tourists, and most importantly, our amazing community for making this weekend unforgettable.
