🎡 Sensory Friendly Day Registration is Open! The form is on our website. We’ll post the 🔗 in the comments!

Please complete the registration form by August 4, 2026. Registration will close on that date, and we will not be able to extend the deadline. We need time to provide our final guest list to the Board of Education and coordinate transportation for participating students.

💙Our goal is to keep the event calm, comfortable, and uncrowded for our guests with sensory needs.

To make Sensory Friendly Day the best experience possible:
•Registration is required and attendance is limited.
•We can only accept Grayson County residents or students enrolled in Grayson County Schools.
•We kindly ask that only one chaperone attend with each registered guest.

This helps us:
• Keep the environment from becoming overcrowded.
• Make sure we have enough food and resources for everyone.
• Create the best possible experience for the families we serve.

We know these limits can be disappointing, and we truly appreciate your understanding. These guidelines are in place so we can provide the experience we’ve promised. It wouldn’t be fair to advertise a sensory-friendly event if we couldn’t offer a calm, comfortable environment for the guests who rely on it.

Thank you for helping us make this special day possible! 💙

🍎Teachers: Please don’t worry about registering students just yet. (It’s still summer break, after all! 😉) After August 4, we’ll send each school its registration list and give you one final opportunity to add any additional students by email.

Throwback Thursday: Did you know that before the Grayson County EMS was established, residents relied on local funeral homes to transport them to the hospital?

This is a picture of Mr. Tom Ellis, who owned Ellis Funeral Home, standing in front of his business with his transport ambulance. If you remember this or have a story to share, put it in the comments below. (The picture was not labeled but estimated to be in the late 1940s or 50s)
