As we spend time with family and friends today, we remember those who made that freedom possible.

From all of us at Leitchfield Fire Department, we thank our fallen heroes and the families who continue to carry their memory with pride.

Before the cookouts, pool days, and lake trips begin - a gentle reminder 🤍

Water safety is important 🐠 Drowning is the #1 cause of death in children four and under. “Everyone” is watching until it’s time to start the grill, grab a drink from the cooler, go the bathroom, etc. Accidents happen quickly, making life jackets and “water watchers” essentials for young children around any body of water.

Safe Kids > Anything Else.

A great way to support WHAS Crusade for Children

Bub’s WHAS Crusade for Children lemonade stand is in full effect again this year and officially open for business.

The lemonade is fresh & homemade using hand squeezed lemons and a simple syrup so theres no gritty sugar! & of course the best ice around , that Sonic Drive-In ice!

He has lemonade, tea and cookies.

He’ll be out here at the shop until 5 or sellout! We will be setting up more soon so if you can’r make it today, no worries!

Today firefighters spent time at WRECC for Safety Day!

Every year this event brings together multiple organizations to discuss all things safety.

Fourth graders from throughout the county come together to have a terrific day of learning and fun!

We had to run away a few times, duty calls, but we hope everyone enjoyed it as much as we did!

Troopers are currently working an injury collision at the 99 mile marker on the Western Kentucky Parkway. All eastbound lanes of the WK Parkway are shut down at this time. Please use an alternate route- exit 94 at Caneyville and use HWY 62 and get back on in Leitchfield (exit 107)
