💐 LMYC Honors Our Sheroes | VetHERans Event Recap 💐

On May 17th, the Leland Mayor's Youth Council had the distinct honor of participating in Boots to Beyond’s VetHERans event — a powerful celebration dedicated to the unbelievably brave women veterans who have selflessly served our country. 💪🏽❤️💙

Our students showed up with purpose, heart, and humility, helping to serve and uplift these remarkable women through acts of service and words of appreciation. From setup to support, our youth stepped in to ensure every guest felt honored and valued.

It was a day of learning, gratitude, and meaningful connection — and we are incredibly proud of the maturity, respect, and dedication our council members displayed.

Thank you to Boots to Beyond for allowing us to be part of this incredible event. We stand with our veterans and thank each and every one of you for your sacrifice and service. 🇺🇸🌟

On Tuesday, May 27th, the City of Leland came together to celebrate a year of growth, leadership, and service at the first-ever Leland Mayor Youth Council Annual Banquet — and what a powerful night it was!

🌾🎉 LMYC at the Leland Wildlife Festival! 🎉🌾

Last Saturday, the Leland Mayor’s Youth Council showed UP and showed OUT at the Leland Wildlife Festival! From running a sweet and successful bake sale to recruiting new members and connecting with the community, our booth was full of energy, love, and purpose. 💙🍪

A HUGE thank you to all the amazing vendors, our LMYC parents, police officers, and community members who stopped by, supported our youth, and helped fund our ongoing community service efforts. A special shoutout to our Program Director's, Ms. Jasmine, father for helping us set up! Your kindness fuels our mission! 🙌

- Must be willing to participate in community events.
