Senior/Disabled Curbside Pickup Event

On Wednesday, July 15, 2026, the City and EDCO Disposal are hosting a 2026 Senior/Disabled Curbside Collection Event. This is your opportunity for residents to dispose of household furniture, home improvement debris, e-waste, recyclables, and more. Items must be placed on the curb by 7am with a cleanup coupon attached. No household hazardous waste, tires, or oversized waste will be accepted during this event. Residents must register by July 10 at 5pm by calling (619) 287-7555. For questions call (619) 825-3813.

#2 is the Tenant Protection Ordinance discussion. Discuss and Provide Direction to City Staff on Tenant Protections Policy City. Your input is necessary. Please attend and provide feedback. A permanent tenant protection ordinance may result in higher rents for tenants in the City of Lemon Grove.

# 3 is 2026-2027 General Fund Draft Operating Budget

# 4 is Measure T Spending Plan 2026/2027, expecting 5.9 million in revenue and up for consideration is a $1,100,000 Fire Engine

# 5 Receive and File Certification for Proposed Citizens- Initiative Measure to restrict the sale of birds in the City of Lemon Grove, requiring that birds be obtained exclusively
from animal shelters, humane societies, or nonprofit rescue organizations and
establishing related regulations and costing tax payers in the range of $25,000-50,000 (to put the measure in the ballot)

The Downtown Specific Plan focuses on the 245-acre area along Broadway between Massachusetts Avenue and Washington Street, from SR-94 to Central Avenue.

Next Tuesday, the Lemon Grove City Council will consider a permanent Tenant Protection Ordinance, which would affect local tenants and housing providers in Lemon Grove. Molly Kirkland from Southern California Rental Housing Association will discuss this issue tonight at the Neighborhood.

This April, in honor of Second Chance Month, San Diego Workforce Partnership is partnering with the Center for Employment Opportunities, Second Chance and the County of San Diego, Office of Labor Standards and Enforcement to host a Fair Chance Workshop and Job Fair.

9 a.m. | Fair Chance Workshop for justice-impacted workers
