Our crews spent some time in the water today working through a dive drill and practicing the skills needed for water rescue operations.

From communication and teamwork to hands-on dive techniques, drills like these help ensure our members are ready to respond when it matters most.

⚠️ GENERATOR & CARBON MONOXIDE SAFETY ⚠️

With recent power outages, we want to remind everyone to use portable generators safely. Improper generator use can quickly lead to dangerous levels of carbon monoxide (CO) an odorless, colorless gas that can be deadly.

If you’re using a portable generator:

🔹 Keep it at least 20 feet away from your home, garage, doors, windows, and vents. Farther away is even better!

🔹 Always operate generators OUTSIDE and never inside a home, garage, basement, shed, or other enclosed space.

🔹 Point the exhaust away from your home and downwind.

🔹 Never refuel a generator while it is running or hot. Turn it off and allow it to cool first.

🔹 Make sure your home has working carbon monoxide alarms.
