I will share more on the details of the state budget soon. I'm disappointed to say that many important topics such as property taxes, affordability, and relief for working families were left on the table by the majority party. We, as House Republicans brought many solutions forward, but they weren't prioritized by Illinois Democrats. That should be a concern to all of us.
Even so, I wanted to take a moment to highlight some of the constituent-led legislation that I passed unanimously in both the House and Senate this spring and is now on its way to the Governor’s desk.
A lot of work remains to be done in this state, but we will celebrate the wins that we did have. I remain focused on advancing practical, bipartisan solutions that improve the lives of the people I represent. It has been an honor to help create and carry these measures through the legislative process, and I look forward to continuing that work for the residents of the 82nd District.

✅ HB 4659 provides important protections for survivors of domestic abuse, human trafficking, and exploitation who were forced into debt through coercion.
✅ SB 3016 encourages greater accessibility in parks, playgrounds, trails, and recreational spaces by prioritizing universal and accessible park design through the OSLAD grant program.
