Established in July of 2007 and the combining of six companies, the U.S. Army’s Central
California Recruiting Battalion Headquarters is located in the heart of the San Joaquin
Valley on Lemoore Naval Air Station. Consisting of the Fresno, Bakersfield, Gold Coast,
South Bay, East Bay, and Monterey Bay Companies it covers an area of approximately
48,549 square miles from San Francisco in the North t

o Santa Barbara in the south, and
from the Pacific coast to the border of Nevada. It is dedicated to finding qualified
candidates to serve in the U.S. Army while actively engaging with the local communities it
serves. Committed to promoting educational opportunities and community development,
the Battalion strives to be a positive force in Central California.

The U.S. Army recognized some of the Army’s best Recruiters during a ceremony in Washington earlier this year. One of the Soldiers is assigned to the Central California Army Recruiting Battalion at the San Jose East Army recruiting Station.

Congratulations to Staff Sgt. Marcus Chepenik, Capitola Recruiting Station, Monterey Bay Co., for winning the CenCal Battalion 9/11 Memorial Warrior PT Competition on NAS Lemoore this morning!

The event was designed to encourage participants to remember those lost on that fateful day, 24 years ago today.

The event consisted of an 11-phase circuit consisting of a 2001m run, 11 Box Jumps (30/24), 11 Thrusters (125/85lb),11 pullups, 11 Barbell Squats (135/115 lb), 11 Push Ups, 11 Kettlebell Swings (35 lb), 11 Burpees, 11 Deadlifts (185/115 lb), 11Goblet Squats (35lb), and a 2001 Meter Row.

Central California Army Recruiting Battalion commander Richard D. Revel awarded Operations NCO Sgt. 1st Class Mark Boag the Army Achievement medal during a short ceremony at the Bn. HQ on Naval Air Station Lemoore, CA. today. Boag’s outstanding attention to detail helped recognize possible issues before they became a problem keeping the Bn. recruiting mission on track over the past six months.

Central California Army recruiting has a new commander.

Lt. Col. Richard D. Revel took charge of the Central California Army Recruiting Battalion during a change of command ceremony on Naval Air Station Lemoore, Lemoore, CA June 18.

Revel previously commanded the 1-345 Engineer Bn. at Camp Atterbury, IN. The active-duty Observer Controller Training Bn. Provide support to 184 Army National Guard units across 11 states.

Outgoing commander Lt. Col. Phillip Sauls departs for advanced schooling at the Marine War College in Quantico, VA.

The Central California Army Recruiting Battalion Headquarters is located in the heart of the San Joaquin Valley and is the only Army unit stationed on NAS Lemoore. The Battalion has six companies with stations in San Francisco, as far south as Santa Barbara and as far east as Ridgecrest in California’s high desert.
